PRIMAL RETREAT NL 2026

I had tears in my eyes every day of the 7 days of the process - I was so deeply touched by the beauty, the depth, the transformation that I was witnessing in the group.

To see people open up their hearts to the truth of their experience and finally allow feelings they possibly never had the chance or safety to feel, and see the healing that brought. Finally seeing the validity of their own pain, opening up space for grief for what was lost, and in that honoring their humanity, their truth and reclaiming their power and dignity.

To see them move with so much aliveness like they couldn’t move for years, or never dared to because they were told they should never shine. Or maybe at some point got the message that their aliveness is not important, dangerous, or even something to be ashamed of. Or something that only “stands in the way of efficient adult life”.

Witness them play with such innocence and purity that they only could be in touch with when they were kids, or maybe never, as for some even that was not available in their lives till now.

To see them move from freeze or half-living to the freedom of expressing long-suppressed rage, joy, sensuality, and their voice in all its raw power. Wow. Wow… I still get goosebumps while I write this.

This is why we do what we do. Myself and Zahira we created Primal Healing Retreats to create the space for the remembering of what we truly are, to reconnect with playful, powerful, creative, loving essence that we all came to this life with.

“SHARED JOY IS DOUBLE JOY; SHARED SORROW IS HALF SORROW.”

I am deeply grateful to my teacher Svarup for this work, for bringing all her wisdom and teachings to The Netherlands, and the possibility to create this experience together. For all the inspiration, the lessons, and the growth.

I am so so grateful to my colleague and beloved friend Zahira. The way we created this together with so much care and devotion, how we could stay open, connected and supportive throughout the whole process of making this happen, and moved through joyful and challenging moments with care and presence together.

And a big big heartfelt thank you to our amazing team - our chefs Eleonora and Tania, and assistants Mark and Svatantra - without their loving presence and hard work this retreat couldn’t have happened.

With love,
Jheel
